Our Commitment

SpecFact CLI is designed with privacy at its core. We believe developer tools should work for you, not collect data about you.

SpecFact CLI (Open Source)

The SpecFact CLI runs 100% locally on your machine:

  • No data collection — Your code never leaves your machine
  • No telemetry by default — No usage tracking unless you opt in
  • No cloud required — Works fully offline
  • No accounts — No registration or login needed

The CLI is open source under Apache 2.0. You can audit the code yourself at github.com/nold-ai/specfact-cli.

Optional Telemetry

If you choose to enable telemetry (opt-in only), we collect:

  • Command used (e.g., import from-code)
  • Execution time
  • Success/failure status
  • Framework detected (e.g., Django, FastAPI)
  • Repository size bucket (e.g., "10k-50k LOC")

We never collect: Code content, file paths, function names, contract details, or any personally identifiable information.

You can disable telemetry at any time: specfact config telemetry off
